Upper Extremity Joint Manipulation (HVLAT) Program
Course Description: This one day course will teach basic manual therapy intervention of selected joints of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, with emphasis on high velocity low amplitude mobilization/manipulation techniques (thrust). It includes pre-course instructional materials and a course handout.
Session Outline: Schedule 1C

30 min: Elbow Manipulation demonstration
15 min: Break
30 min: Elbow Manipulation lab
45 min: Wrist anatomy, pathology, assessment lecture

30 min: Wrist Manipulation demonstration
30 min: Wrist manipulation lab
30 min: Elbow/wrist manipulation round robin
30 min: Lab - Case studies/problem solving

30 min: Lecture - cross friction massage
